Maiden sponsorship deal for East Herts Ladies Cricket Club:

We are proud to announce our sponsorship of East Herts Ladies Cricket Club (based in Thundridge, Hertfordshire) playing in Division 2 of the Women's Cricket Southern League.

For the first time in the club's history, East Herts Ladies Cricket Club (EHLCC) has an independent sponsor. We are showing our support for local sport by sponsoring the team and demonstrating the importance of providing an ongoing boost to Ladies cricket.

Women's cricket has undergone a transformation over the last two decades with more than 600 clubs nationwide now offering cricket to women and girls and the England Women's team winning national and international acclaim for their achievements.

As David Collier, ECB Chief Executive points out: "We know women's cricket needs sustained investment and support at all levels if it is to continue to flourish. And we also want to see women more widely represented in our sport at all levels of the game."

Paul Cashman, Managing Director of Cashman Interior Services Ltd. says, "It is for this reason that we are proud to support not only local sport, but local sport that is rapidly growing in popularity and status."

"As a club, our membership has steadily increased over the last couple of seasons and due to everyone's commitment there is now a need for team selection for every match - which is brilliant", according to team coach Alan Worboys "and this sponsorship deal not only provides much needed funding for kit and training but it also raises the profile of women's cricket in the region."
