Space Planning and Design

Following in-depth consultation and analysis, our projects are carefully planned to be completed with maximum efficiency and minimum disruption. Our designs offer productive, ergonomic and comfortable working environments which are also inspiring, exciting and innovative.

Our experience means we are best placed to design workspaces that work for their users. Whether our clients are looking to totally re-plan their offices using new fittings and furnishings, or are looking to minimse expense by re-using existing assets in an improved layout. We recommend the most suitable products and their ideal placement and also consider storage requirements to produce a harmonious environment that promotes health and safety, productivity and profit. We use the latest technology to provide detailed plans which enable our customers to clearly visualise the proposals.

Our planning and design team understand and advise on all aspects of planning and building regulations as well as health and safety issues to ensure conformity and promote best practice.

Our clients benefit from our extensive knowledge and experience. Our creative teams can transform existing offices into revitalised environments. Our careful placement and specification of furniture, use of colour, texture and lighting can stimulate and promote an organisation's working culture and encourage productivity.

Generally our planning and design work is included within an associated fit-out and/or refurbishment proposal. However, we also offer a planning and design only service at competitive rates.

We know that thorough, detailed information gathering and planning pays off, whatever the project size. Once initial analysis is complete, we will take into account:

Accommodation (space planning) - these include average square feet per person, corridor widths, meeting rooms, refreshment areas, storage areas, receptions. We will also take into account future growth and development plans

Legal requirements - there is a great deal of legislation to consider when space planning any office, these include: Health and Safety Regulations, Building Regulations, Fire Regulations the Disability Discrimination Act and Site Waste Management regulations. With Cashman Interior Services, we will ensure all legal aspects of the project are covered.

Business requirements - your space plan should be guided by your business requirements. Our depth of experience within a wide range of commercial environments means that we can pass the benefit of our knowledge on to you.

IT and Telecommunications Services - For your space plan to work, it must take into consideration electrical, IT and telecoms requirements. Our skilled space planners will ensure your current and future requirements are included and accommodated.

Our space planning and design teams will also:

  • Understand the project motivation (e.g. company relocation, expansion or down-sizing)
  • Take into account plans for future growth
  • Ensure adequate storage facilities
  • Incorporate a client's corporate identity and ethos within our designs
